Tesvo / Setup
Set up Tesvo
Tesvo mirrors your Android phone onto your Tesla's browser over your own hotspot. Setup takes about a minute.
Step by step
- Turn on your phone's hotspot and connect your Tesla to it, like any WiFi network.
- Open Tesvo on your phone and tap Start Mirroring. Accept the one screen-capture prompt.
- In the Tesla browser, go to
tesvo.appand tap Android. The app shows this address once mirroring is running.

The Android button only works while Tesvo is mirroring on your phone and the car is on your hotspot.
Touch Control (optional)
To tap the mirrored screen from the car, turn on Touch Control once. In Tesvo tap Touch Control - tap to enable. Android opens Accessibility settings, where you switch Tesvo on. Only taps are sent to your phone, no swipes. The Home button on the mirror takes you out of any app.
MJPEG or HD
MJPEG works everywhere. HD is sharper and smoother where your Tesla's browser supports it. Pick your default with the switch at the bottom of the Tesvo app. If HD stutters or stays blank, switch to MJPEG.
Troubleshooting
The mirror page won't load
Check that the car is connected to your phone's hotspot and that Tesvo shows it is mirroring. Then go to tesvo.app in the car and tap Android.
Mirroring stopped
Android ends screen capture when the phone's screen locks. Reopen Tesvo and tap Start Mirroring.
I tapped a Maps or Zoom link and lost the mirror
The Tesla browser has one window, so links open in the same view. Press back, or go to tesvo.app again.
Calendar or weather is empty
Allow Calendar and Location for Tesvo in the app, or in Android Settings, Apps, Tesvo, Permissions.
For use while parked or by a passenger only. Do not interact with the screen while driving.
